Even though the Landon Bears scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, the St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints still came out on top. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes walked away with a 70-63 win over the Bears. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Stephen's & St. Agnes.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Stephen's & St. Agnes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyan Bowman, who scored 16 points. Riley Jacobs was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
St. Stephen's & St. Agnes pushed their record up to 12-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Landon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes will square off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (St. Albans is ranked 34th in District of Columbia, while the Saints are ranked 30th in Virginia). As for Landon, they will head out on the road to take on the Maroon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Episcopal has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 12.
