Kossuth has gone 7-2 against Pine Grove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Aggies will challenge the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Kossuth is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
While Kossuth's victory against Belmont wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Aggies had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Aggies.
Chloe Clement made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caliann Mitchell, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Madeline Rhodes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pine Grove challenged Biggersville on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Lions, falling 9-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.
Pine Grove saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anaston Christian, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.
Pine Grove has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Kossuth, their record is now 14-4.
Pine Grove's pitching crew better be locked in on Monday. Kossuth hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. It's a different story for Pine Grove, though, as they've been averaging only 0 home runs. Will they be able to keep Kossuth in the park?
Everything went Kossuth's way against Pine Grove in their previous matchup back in February, as Kossuth made off with a 12-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Aggies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
