Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port Clinton). Everything went their way against the Western Reserve Roughriders on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Redskins considering their one-run performance the match before.

Danny Baker was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Derek Abernathy was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Port Clinton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

With the victory, Port Clinton broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-18. As for Western Reserve, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Port Clinton will welcome Fostoria at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Western Reserve does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
