The Columbine Rebels had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 21-3 victory over Legend on Friday. Columbine's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Columbine had a senior duo take command as Mason Moreno rushed for 53 yards and two touchdowns and Josh Snyder rushed for 137 yards. Moreno has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Legend to a paltry 135 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Columbine's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out four times before it was all said and done. Spencer Houle was especially locked on to Legend's QB and sacked him twice.
Columbine pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Legend, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
Columbine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Legend also has no future games currently scheduled.
