Defeat or not, Scotland got some senior leadership from Alicia McClain and Morgan Thompson. McClain dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards, while Thompson posted 20 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Thompson's evening made it 13 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dere'Yanna Vanderhall, who had eight points.
Even though they lost, Scotland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lee County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Pinecrest, falling 47-21. The matchup marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Cherish Smith was Lee County's leading scorer, having posted five points.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Scotland hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 56.7 points per game. It's a different story for Lee County, though, as they've been averaging only 36.7 points. The only thing between Scotland and another offensive beatdown is Lee County. Will they be able to keep them contained?
