If Notre Dame Prep was riding high  off their  15-4 takedown of St. Johns on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Notre Dame Prep Saints fell just short of the Joseph City Wildcats by a score of  10-8 on Friday.
  Kate Amdahl was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she  tossed nine innings while giving up  four earned  (and six unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Amdahl was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kendall Gillham was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Daelynn Flowers, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Like Notre Dame Prep, Joseph City also got a great game from a two-way player:  April Neill. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and four unearned) runs off   four  hits (and only one walk). Neill has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  a single  walk in three consecutive pitching appearances. Neill was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Gabby Jesmer was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Maddy Powers was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Notre Dame Prep now  has a losing record at 7-8. As for Joseph City, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1-1.
 Notre Dame Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Higley at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. Notre Dame Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.1  runs per game this season. As for Joseph City, they are on the road again  on Wednesday to play Williams at 1:00  p.m. Williams is coming into the  match with four straight  wins at home,  so Joseph City will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum.
