The Dickson Comets suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by Plainview on the road and fell 80-31. While losing is never fun, Dickson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while Plainview is ranked 50th).
Emilee Hedger was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five steals for Plainview. That's the first time this season that Hedger scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacelyn Hammon, who scored nine points along with nine assists and five steals.
Dickson bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Plainview, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Dickson will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Silo at 6:30 p.m. As for Plainview, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
