The Dwyer Panthers will head out to take on the John Carroll Catholic Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dwyer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Last Friday, Dwyer came up short against Doral Academy and fell 6-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Firebirds: they've now lost four in a row.

Dwyer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fatima Masri, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Cameron Solano also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Meanwhile, John Carroll Catholic scored first but ultimately less than Key West in their contest on Saturday. They fell just short of the Conchs by a score of 7-6. The Rams' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Samantha Rychter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Mackenzie Mostoller was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, John Carroll Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Key West only managed nine hits.

John Carroll Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Dwyer, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Dwyer hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like John Carroll Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Dwyer suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to John Carroll Catholic when the teams last played on March 7th. Can Dwyer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
