Macks Creek is 5-0 against the Bearcats since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Macks Creek Pirates will be staying on the road to face off against the Dadeville Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. on February 5th. Hopefully Macks Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Macks Creek can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent contest. Everything went their way against Chadwick as Macks Creek made off with a 65-43 win. Macks Creek pushed the score to 55-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals cut but never quite recovered from.
Macks Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was India Willis out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on 26 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Willis hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Ratliff, who scored 23 points.
Meanwhile, Dadeville was the victim of a tough 56-30 defeat at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Dadeville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 514th, while the Tigers are ranked 88th).
Macks Creek pushed their record up to 17-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.5 points. As for Dadeville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
Everything came up roses for Macks Creek against the Bearcats when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 58-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Macks Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
