Two dominant backs in Reagan Korlacki and Jaidon Furman are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Santa Fe Catholic Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Tenoroc Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Santa Fe Catholic put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past Babcock, posting a 55-0 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Santa Fe Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabriel Rivera led the charge by throwing for 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Rivera's passing game has become a key predictor of the Hawks' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. 83 of Rivera's passing yards were hauled in by Zyrell Thomas, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Santa Fe Catholic was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Santa Fe Catholic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Malaki Gibson, KJ White, and Joonah Capre picked up one apiece. White got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tenoroc, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 62-0 victory over Discovery.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Tenoroc, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Demetrius Jones, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Santa Fe Catholic's record now sits at 4-2. As for Tenoroc, their record is now 2-3.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Santa Fe Catholic has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 209 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Tenoroc struggles in that department as they've been averaging 209.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Santa Fe Catholic and Tenoroc were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but Santa Fe Catholic came up empty-handed after a 38-37 defeat. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
