The St. John Heralds will venture away from home to face off against the Harding Skippers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
St. John's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Cardinal with a sharp 14-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Heralds.
Carter Beck made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. St. John is undefeated when Beck posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise.
