Cornerstone Academy extended the longest winning streak in Florida Christian IV (7 Man) this week by beating Solid Rock Community, 62-34. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Cornerstone Academy took down the Crusaders 62-34 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jake Altom threw for 54 yards and 1 touchdown, ran for 117 yards and caught 7 passes for 99 yards in the win.
Cornerstone Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jonah Nielson has thrown for 683 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Altom has 25 catches for 476 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Halifax Academy and Old Plank Christian Academy. Halifax Academy comes into the matchup ranked sixth in the state, while Old Plank Christian Academy ranks 11th.
Dahryll Brown's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 86 points on First Coast Christian.
