Green Bay Preble lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Luxemburg-Casco, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Hornets were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Spartans on Tuesday. Considering the Hornets have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Andrew Lindsley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Green Bay Preble got a great performance from Jaden Sonnenberg as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Harrison Selk, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colin St. Andre, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Green Bay Preble pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Luxemburg-Casco, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-7.

Green Bay Preble and Luxemburg-Casco should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Hornets (ranked 30th) will meet Denmark (ranked 146th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Luxemburg-Casco will face off against Waupaca at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (76 vs. 201).
