Beatrice is 3-0 against Plattsmouth since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Beatrice Orangemen will get right back to it and host the Plattsmouth Blue Devils at 3:00 p.m. on February 10th. Hopefully Beatrice is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Nebraska (they are ranked 13th, while Plattsmouth is ranked 169th).
On Friday, Beatrice strolled past Northwest with points to spare, taking the game 63-46. The win was just what Beatrice needed coming off of a 63-38 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Plattsmouth lost to Wahoo at home by a decisive 51-32 margin on Thursday. Plattsmouth has struggled against Wahoo recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Beatrice pushed their record up to 16-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Plattsmouth, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
Beatrice took their win against Plattsmouth when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 52-29. Does Beatrice have another victory up their sleeve, or will Plattsmouth turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
