While losing is never fun, Wade Hampton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Westside is ranked 94th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Williams, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was Williams' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tiyelle Hollings, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Wade Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Westside, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Wade Hampton will be playing in front of their home fans against Greer at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Westside won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th. Sumter is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
