The Alliance Bulldogs can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Gordon-Rushville by a score of 46-35. The win was just what Alliance needed coming off of a 56-29 loss in their prior game.
Jaelynne Clarke was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Addison Weber, who scored eight points.
Despite the loss, Gordon-Rushville had strong showings from Haley Johnson, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Mckinley Grover, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That was a full 48.6% of Gordon-Rushville's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Alliance's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Gordon-Rushville, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.
Alliance will take on Ogallala at 5:05 p.m. on Friday. As for Gordon-Rushville, they will head out on the road to take on Mullen at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Mullen is on a three-game streak of home losses, Gordon-Rushville a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
