Baltimore City Division II recap November 5, 2013
Northwestern's Martez Boone recorded the longest rushing play in Baltimore City Division II this season in his game against Poly last week. Boone ran for 76 yards on the play and finished with 153 on the day as his team fell to the Engineers.
Douglass added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Du Bois, 38-6. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Mighty Ducks.
Boone was the best running back in the league this week. In 5 carries, he ran for 153 yards as Northwestern topped the Panthers. Tremaine Bishop also contributed to the rushing game with 18 yards on the ground.
Douglass' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mighty Ducks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Camron West has thrown for 1,442 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Teon Maesar has 23 catches for 387 yards.
An important game coming up in Baltimore City Division II this week will be when Du Bois takes on Digital Harbor. Mike Floyd's team is currently in third, while the Rams are in second.
Lewis made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,965 from 11,057. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 35-21 victory over the Falcons last week.
