Tri-State Crusaders wound up with the same score they had in their last game (52-14), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
When it comes to explaining why Tri-State Crusaders lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dee Lewis. Despite the final result, he rushed for 106 yards on only ten carries, and also picked up 70 receiving yards.
Kemp Swords was his usual excellent self, rushing for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while also throwing for 211 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Swords has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Cade Joiner was another key contributor, picking up 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Tri-State Crusaders' defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Evangel Christian, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Tri-State Crusaders will be playing at home against Tennessee Heat at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Tennessee Heat is ranked third in Tennessee, while Tri-State Crusaders is ranked second in Indiana). As for Evangel Christian, they will square off against Providence Athletic Cluv at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Providence Athletic Cluv will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
