They strolled past the Red Mountain Mountain Lions with  points to spare, taking the game  58-42. The team also got some help courtesy of  Charly Pacheco, who  went 5 for 10  en route to 13 points and six  rebounds.
 Several Mountain Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Payton Westra, who  posted 12  points and six  boards. What's more,  Westra also racked up three  assists, the most she's  had since back in February of 2024.  Macy Johnson was another key player,  dropping  a double-double on 12 points and ten  rebounds.
Mesa pushed their record up to 12-9 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.8 points. As for Red Mountain, their  defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 14-7.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mesa has  already played their next  game (against Mountain View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Red Mountain will challenge Westwood at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Red Mountain is facing Westwood at the right time seeing as Westwood is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
