The Monessen Greyhounds scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 90-59 win over California on the road. Monessen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 24 points or more this season.
When it comes to explaining why California lost, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Neil. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Monticelli, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
The win was the fourth in a row for Monessen, bringing their record for this year to 17-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for California, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.
Monessen will head out on the road to take on Jeannette at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Monessen is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, so Jeannette is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. California does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
