Basketball Recap: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Safford

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 76-48 win over the Safford Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pusch Ridge Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Lambe, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. That's the most boards Lambe has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Santino Almazan, who went 9 of 13 en route to 20 points.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Safford, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
