Section 11 Division I recap September 17, 2013
William Floyd's Chris Faison recorded the longest rushing play in Section 11 Division I this season in his game against Lindenhurst last week. Faison ran for 96 yards on the play and finished with 188 on the day as his team topped the Bulldogs.
Eric Brust and Faison provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Lindenhurst. The longest such play in the league this season, the connection resulted in 64 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Northport takes on William Floyd. At the moment, the Tigers are in fourth, while Peter Lesiewicz's team is in first.
Ward Melville moved up to 302 from 347 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 11 Division I. The Patriots were able to make move up by defeating Half Hollow Hills East 32-6.
