Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Northview

Northview had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Whitmer Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Northview's got stronger as the match went on, holding Whitmer to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 25-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jade Hagan, who had 14 digs and two assists. Hagan is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Sauer, who had 29 assists and ten digs.

Northview was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Northview now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Whitmer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Northview will challenge St. Ursula Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whitmer, they will take on Perrysburg at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
