Baseball Recap: Lake Oconee Academy Comes Up Short

The matchup between Lake Oconee Academy and Taliaferro County on Wednesday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the JAGUARS this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Monday.

Lake Oconee Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. The win was the third in a row for Taliaferro County, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Lake Oconee Academy has already played their next match, a 10-4 defeat against Social Circle on the 14th. As for Taliaferro County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Woody Gap on the 14th.
