Elm Creek has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Ravenna Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Elm Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
On Monday, Elm Creek didn't have too much trouble with Kenesaw at home as they won 56-39. 56 seems to be a good number for Elm Creek as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Kade Sindt and Quin Oberg were among the main playmakers for Elm Creek as the former scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals and the latter scored 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Oberg has scored at least a third of Elm Creek's points. Drew Harbur was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Ravenna can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Arcadia/Loup City by a score of 33-23.
Elm Creek pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Ravenna, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
Elm Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Ravenna in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 46-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elm Creek since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
