The Desert Vista Thunder stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Queen Creek 85-8 at home. The win was familiar territory for Desert Vista who now have three in a row.
Shay Ijiwoye was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Eanae Dagons, who scored five points along with seven assists and six steals.
Desert Vista is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Queen Creek, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Highland the next time they take the court. Queen Creek will host Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Desert Vista will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
