The Harlem Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 53-39 bruising from Waubonsie Valley. While losing is never fun, Harlem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 538th, while Waubonsie Valley is ranked 58th).
Bo Beehler and Mason Walsh certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Beehler scored 7 points along with 5 assists, while Walsh scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Harlem's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Waubonsie Valley, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harlem will face off against Guilford at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Guilford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Harlem likes a good challenge. Waubonsie Valley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on DeKalb at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
