After losing to the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks the last time they met, the NSU University Sharks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. NSU University breezed by Archbishop McCarthy at home to the tune of 62-33. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-17.
NSU University was led to victory by Tatum Billie and Kimora Exum. Billie scored 22 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals, while Exum scored 31 points along with 9 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Billie has scored at least 25% of NSU University's points.
The victory makes it two in a row for NSU University and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Archbishop McCarthy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. NSU University will challenge Saint Andrew's at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Saint Andrew's focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Wednesday. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they will head out on the road to face off against Glades Day at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
