Last Friday, Broad Run was beaten by Tuscarora 49-21. While losing is never fun, Broad Run can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Tuscarora is ranked 42nd).
Meanwhile, Loudoun Valley missed an extra point against Woodgrove on Friday and it came back to haunt them. Loudoun Valley was just a hair shy of victory and fell 26-25 to Woodgrove. Loudoun Valley's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ethan Lafollette, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Alex Johnson was another key contributor, rushing for 62 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Broad Run has yet to win a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 3-7 record. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for Loudoun Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
