Softball Recap: Arab Wins Going Away Against Fairview

Arab extended their postseason success on Saturday against Fairview. They put the hurt on the Aggies with a sharp 13-3 win. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Aggies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Hadley Blackmon made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Blackmon was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Arab got a massive performance out of Lily Livingston, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Karlee Preston, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Arab always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Arab's record is now 13-20-1. As for Fairview, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Arab beat the Aggies by a score of 7-1 on Monday.
