In other batting news, Rancho Verde got a massive performance out of Leilani Rivas, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Rivas has snagged this season. Serenity Menendez was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Rancho Verde kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in six consecutive games.
Rancho Verde pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Rancho Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
