Softball Recap: Central Davidson Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Central Davidson had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Lexington Senior Yellowjackets as they made off with an 18-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Central Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Lexington Senior, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Central Davidson is set to square off against their familiar foe Randleman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2.3, the Tigers 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Lexington Senior will face off against rival High Point Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
