Baseball Recap: Morrison Has No Trouble Against Frontier

Morrison's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Frontier Mustangs as they made off with a 10-1 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Brady Petree made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sterlin Casey was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Koltin Smith, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Morrison's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Frontier, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Morrison will have a chance to go back-to-back against Frontier: the pair will be back at it again later today.
