The Chaminade Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 68-46 walloping at the hands of Loyola. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Chaminade has suffered since December 11, 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Chaminade lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chris Cordero. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jonas Thurman, who scored 13 points.
Chaminade has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season. As for Loyola, their victory bumped their record up to 15-12.
Chaminade will head out on the road to challenge St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Loyola, they will be playing at home against Alemany at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Alemany is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
