Fans got a thrill when Chris Salsberry and Xavier Niesen connected against Cactus. The connection went for 88 yards, the longest such play in III Section VII this season.
Agua Fria's Marquice Paige rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Greenway last week. Paige scampered for 91 yards on the play and finished with 273 on the day as his team topped the Demons.
Desert Edge's dynamic duo of Anthony Hernandez and Elijah Marks proved to be unstoppable against Sabino, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hernandez threw for 475 yards and 6 touchdowns and Marks had 202 yards receiving. C.J. Heard helped Desert Edge's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 117 yards.

Kyle Doren was a key player and the best on defense this week as Shadow Ridge beat the Cobras. He grabbed 3.0 sacks.
Paige was the most successful running back in III Section VII this week. Jordan Green also contributed to the rushing game with 88 yards on the ground.

The Scorpions' Hernandez and Marks have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-8 quarterback Hernandez has thrown for 1,413 yards this season, while Marks has 35 catches for 773 yards. The Stallions' Salsberry leads the league in rushing yards with 574.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Shadow Ridge takes on second place Desert Edge. Shadow Ridge topped Cactus last week, while Desert Edge defeated the Sabercats.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Scorpions and Rico Tipton's team face off next week.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Buckeye takes on Verrado. The Hawks have allowed 31 points this season, while the Vipers have given up 49. Buckeye allowed 12 points last week as it bested South Mountain.
Desert Edge added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Sabino, 55-21. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Scorpions.
