Round Mountain is 10-0 against Tonopah since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Round Mountain Knights will take on the Tonopah Muckers at 2:00 p.m. Round Mountain is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Round Mountain pushed their score all the way to 71 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 82-71 to Spring Mountain. Round Mountain has not had much luck with Spring Mountain recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Blake Bullington, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. It was the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Keiran Swafford, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Tonopah had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 43-30 victory over Indian Springs on Friday.
Round Mountain's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-4. As for Tonopah, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13.
Round Mountain came out on top in a nail-biter against Tonopah when the teams last played on Wednesday, sneaking past 43-40. Does Round Mountain have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tonopah turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
