Hunt's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Na'sir Hines, who on his way to 14 points in addition to five steals and three blocks. Hines has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. Tyler Pridgen was another key player, putting up 16 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Croatan found their leader in sophomore Kannon McBride, who almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine boards. McBride continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Jones, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Hunt and nudges their season record down to 18-9. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points over those games. As for Croatan, their victory bumped their record up to 17-7.
