The Lafayette County Huskers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down St. Michael the Archangel 50-31 on Friday. The win was just business as usual for Lafayette County, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Several Guardians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cam Zaun, who threw for 419 yards and three touchdowns. Lucas Estes also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Lafayette County's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for St. Michael the Archangel, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Lafayette County will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lamar. Lamar is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. St. Michael the Archangel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
