Johnathan Schroeder Turns in Season-Best Performance
Oxford was led to victory by Johnathan Schroeder, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Schroeder rushed for 188 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win was the fourth in a row for Oxford, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Schroeder and Oxford will head out on the road to challenge Udall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Creyo Koop was instrumental in extending West Elk's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Koop as he rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also caught a touchdown. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
Sedan's probably not too fond of Koop given he always seems to get the better of them. When Koop last faced the Devils back in September of 2023, he rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Underclassman Cooper Criss Comes Up Big Against Central
While Friday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Cooper Criss. He was unstoppable on Friday, throwing for 157 yards and four touchdowns, while also catching a touchdown.
For the year, Criss has thrown 18 touchdowns while averaging 164.2 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 11.5 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 24.17 rushing yards.

Cedar Vale/Dexter was led to victory by Royce Potter, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Potter rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also caught a touchdown. He has become a key player for Cedar Vale/Dexter: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
For the year, Potter has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 23 receiving yards per game.
