Video: Khalid Kareem's highlights vs. Walled Lake WesternKhalid Kareem, a four-star defensive end from
Harrison (Farmington Hills, Mich.), decommitted from Alabama on Wednesday morning, in an announcement he made via Twitter.
The 6-foot-4, 260-pound senior is ranked as the No. 194 overall recruit in the
247Sports Composite and had committed to Alabama in June.
He is the second four-star recruit from Michigan to decommit this week. On Sunday,
Daelin Hayes opened up his commitment after previously giving a pledge to USC.
Michigan now leads for Kareem's services,
according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball. However, the most recent predictions have come in favor of Notre Dame, which Kareem plans to visit this weekend.
Despite Kareem's defection, Alabama still has the No. 6 class in the
247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings. However, it has yet to land a five-star recruit.
