The Windham Bombers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Maplewood by a score of 62-52 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Windham, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Maplewood's loss came despite strong showings from Andrew Barnett and Alex Donaldson. Barnett dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds, while Donaldson dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Donaldson hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games.
Even though they lost, Maplewood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Windham's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Maplewood, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-10.
Windham will head out on the road to take on Harding at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harding has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 670 points over their last nine games. As for Maplewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mathews at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
