Hunter Shea posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bartlesville is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7 otherwise.

Shea's strong effort led Bartlesville over Ponca City and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bartlesville is 8-2 against Ponca City going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
