After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Godley, the Alvarado Indians were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Kennedale by a score of 66-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Alvarado's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joslyn Jarmon, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Jarmon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 25 games she's played. Candra Bridgewater was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Alvarado pushed their record up to 18-15 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Kennedale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-17.
Alvarado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kennedale will head out on the road to face off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Waxahachie has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.
