The Temple City Rams''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by La Canada on the road and fell 56-6. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Temple City in their matchups with La Canada: they've now lost four in a row.
Judah Douglas and Jake Jones certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Douglas picked up 202 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Jones threw for 318 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Douglas' longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards.
La Canada was led to victory by Macky Plocher and Lorenz Bayug. Plocher threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, while Bayug rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Plocher is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sohan Garg, who rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown.
Temple City's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2 San Marino and 6-4 San Gabriel (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60% over those games). As for La Canada, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Temple City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. La Canada also has no future games currently scheduled.
