The Edison Tommies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Roosevelt 57-53. Edison was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Roosevelt apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Calvin Peterson, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Avery Wells was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Edison has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Roosevelt, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Minneapolis Southwest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 contests -- so hopefully Roosevelt likes a good challenge.
