Meanwhile, Paradise Honors entered their tilt with Shadow Mountain on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Matadors 17-1. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five games by 11 runs or more so far this season.
Olivia Jimenez Facio was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Paradise Honors let Ashlyn Elliott and Pressley Fought run wild. Elliott went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double, while Fought scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Fought has posted since back in April of 2024. Jenna McHone was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Paradise Honors always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory got Paradise Honors back to even at 7-7. As for Moon Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Moon Valley suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to Paradise Honors in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Moon Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
