Basketball Recap: Twin Peaks Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Twin Peaks Classical Academy lost against Peyton back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peyton Panthers.

Despite the loss, Twin Peaks Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Kaleigh Van Pelt, who posted 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals. Van Pelt's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cleo Baker, who scored three points along with four blocks and three steals.

Leading Peyton to victory were Sammie Nickell and Scarlett Clark. Nickell dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards, while Clark had 14 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. Those seven steals gave Clark a new career-high. Another player making a difference was ArRhiya Brown, who earned four points and 16 boards.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Peyton, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-34 defeat against Mile High Academy on the 10th. As for Peyton, they have also already played their next game, a 41-16 victory against Harrison on the 10th.
