The Hillsboro Burros will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cane Ridge Ravens at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Hillsboro will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Hillsboro was able to grind out a solid victory over Overton, taking the game 57-46. Given Hillsboro's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Overton is ranked 261st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hillsboro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ragan Starks, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raigan Wiggins, who scored 12 points.
Cane Ridge aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Friday extended their overall winning streak to three. They blew past Antioch, posting a 62-25 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Cane Ridge has posted yet this season.
Hillsboro's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Cane Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Everything went Hillsboro's way against Cane Ridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Hillsboro made off with a 65-43 win. Will Hillsboro repeat their success, or does Cane Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
