The Fullerton Indians suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 70-50 walloping at the hands of Sonora. Fullerton has not had much luck with Sonora recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Fullerton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Baylor Wilks, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Myvett, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Fullerton struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Fullerton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Sonora, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fullerton will take on La Habra at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Habra is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Sonora, they will be playing at home against Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Troy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Sonora is ranked 97th).
