Fans got a thrill when Trevor Mann and Troy Lusk connected against Amherst. The longest such play in D2 District 8 (8 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 77 yards.
Hitchcock County took down South Platte 74-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Alex Whipps threw for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns during the win.
Tristan Johnson was a passing and rushing force as Hayes Center lost to Elwood. He completed 7 passes for 129 yards and also ran for 134 yards. Johnson's favorite target this week was Austin Meyers, who caught 3 passes for 52 yards.
Lusk was the best wideout in the league this week as Brady fell to the Broncos.
Dalton Simants made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Eagles fell to Amherst. The 6-foot-0 senior recorded 2 fumbles.

Leading D2 District 8 (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards, Hitchcock County's Whipps and Austin Blume have proven to be a lethal combination. Whipps has thrown for 488 yards this season, while Blume has 12 catches for 284 yards. Johnson from the Cardinals leads the league in rushing with 411 yards.
Clark Benne's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 74 points on South Platte. Whipps in the win.
